Modeling An Industry and Market Size Help

I am (potentially) moving into an Equity Research role at an Investment Bank from a Corporate Finance role.

They tasked me with modeling the market size and financial impact for a new service the specific industry the role would covering will be offering in the near future.

Are there any good resources with which I can learn a solid methodology to do this. Because basically, sticking with the theme of WSO, I am a monkey slamming on a keyboard with this (Not really but I want to do the best I can).

I know this is vague but I don't want to seem like I'm asking someone to basically do it for me.
