Preparing to become an equity research analysts

I want to asks a question in regards in getting a position as an equity research analysts.
what must I do to be prepared? i.e skills I must work on.
I am currently studying for the CFA level 1 exam for Feburary 2021.

You need to have attention to detail like not saying "want to asks", or "an equity research analysts".
