Self Teaching Basic ER Skills
Hey all,
I don't intend to work on Wall St. I'd like to brush up my ER and general corporate finance skills. I know Uni + direct experience is the best teacher, but I'm just trying to brush on this skill to make me more valuable, not to work in the space.
I've been doing some MIT OpenCourseWare classes on YouTube and reading what I can, but I think having some rough guidance on where to start might be key.
FYI, I work in business journalism. I want to understand the drivers of specific industries and get better at valuation so I can understand things better.
Do you guys have any advice on where to start? There's so many books, courses, exercises, etc. Hard to pick where to start.
Thanks
Fisher Investments on [XYZ sector] is decent. They talk about drivers for most sectors out there. It's very appropriate for your purpose.
Aw, that's awesome. This is definitely what I was looking for. Thanks a lot man. checked out your Substack, hope to see you posting more.
