Based on insights from WSO threads, it's not uncommon for there to be significant delays in hearing back after submitting an ER case study. For example, one user shared that after completing a case study and undergoing interviews, they experienced radio silence for about a month before receiving positive feedback from HR. However, they then faced another month of silence before ultimately receiving a generic rejection email.

Given that it's been two months since your submission, it's possible that the process is still ongoing, but delays like this are not unusual in the industry. If you haven't already, consider sending a polite follow-up email to check on the status of your application.

If you haven't heard back in 2 months, you should move on. If they really liked you, you'd hear back within a week or two at the most.

This probably entirely depends on the analyst and the team’s timeline. I would say though that normally post case study you’d hear back pretty quickly because they’re tasked to review it.

In my four separate experiences for research role case studies, the decision to move me further after I submitted case study came either the same day or 48 hours later. In the two instances I failed the model or case, I heard back within a day. It’s likely that they’re just ghosting you and not sending the formal rejection
