Trading on Equity Research CV
Hello monkeys,
Just wanted to canvas some opinions on including personal trading on Equity Research CVs. Do you think this would give off the wrong impression that you are looking to ultimately end up in S&T or is it a good way of demonstrating interest in the markets?
Peace.

As long as you don't say it's day-trading, I think it's fine. Key to is be able to talk about particular companies that you invested in and you know a lot about the company (by reading 10k's, proxy statement, call transcript and all that) and, most importantly, why you think it was a buy.
Even though sell-side is less about getting your investment correct, ER people still want to see how you think about a security because you will put that skill to use when you write reports for them.
Cheers for the reply. It was actually FX trading rather than equities, but a buy to hold portfolio is definitely my next move.
