UG with questions about ER internship recruiting

Hi guys,

I am an undergrad at a target UK uni (think Ox/Camb/LSE), and I have a few questions regarding summer internship recruiting for ER in London. Please respond to as many or as few of these as you want. Any help is really appreciated.

1. Is there a chance of me even getting a spot only starting to prep now? - my course isn't super well known although it is economics/finance adjacent, I have strong academic performance (strong 1st predicted, and came top of my class in one option), decent extra curriculas (involved in investment society), but I only decided on focussing on ER recently, and thus my work experience in the area is lacking (the only piece of related work experience is working for an firm developing an LLM for consumer/new investor ER).

2. How do I develop a strong 'my story' pitch for ER, given its not something I have had a long-lasting passion for and is relatively niche?

3.  Is there anything I could add to improve my CV/interviews in just the week or so? - any short course, or certificate?

4. Whilst I make sure to do lots of research on this myself, it would be great to know about some of the good mm or boutique ER firms operating in London, that I could potentially reach out to.

Thats about it. Once again guys, anything at all is really appreciated.
