Understanding Research-Reports
Hi guys, I am working in an small IB in the Sales-Division (Mid-/Small-Caps). We got lot of Research-Reports incoming, but I just can not really figure out how to understand the numbers without a detailed analysis, especially I don't have any benchmarks right now. So my question is: How do you figure out what is important about a research report? What do you remember? What is not important? How do you understand it without benchmarks? Thanks :)
I would read a few industry primers or initiation reports on some companies in the sector. That way, you get to read a more detailed analysis of the company, and understand the key value drivers.
