Weighted II rankings?
Haven’t been able to find the weighted II rankings anywhere. I know Evercore ISI is ranked 1st as that’s all they talk about on their website, but is the rest of the top ten much different from the standard rankings?
No one on the buy side really cares about II rankings. It’s more of a politics/sell-side marketing tool.
I hated how much my bank on the sell-side cared about II, everything was oriented around II voting...Let's do 40% more work and pack a huge calendar of events leading up to II voting as if the buy-side needs more coverage from the months of March-June than other months. Granted I worked for an analyst when they were one year away from getting in the II Hall of Fame so I was extra jaded.
Get to buyside and think about II literally for one hour per year.
