West Coast Equity Research Opportunities?

Hi, I am currently an undergrad at UC Berkeley. Do you guys know if there are more equity research opportunities in the east coast or the west coast? and how do I go about finding opportunities in the west coast? Thanks!

Also an undergrad at Berkeley. Like others say, the east coast has more ER opportunities, but there are plenty on the west coast. Try looking at career center/handshake to see what opportunities you have and openings that companies have.

On sell-side, banks with offices JPM, BofA Merrill, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, RBC, MS, UBS, and Barclays. ( I think Jefferies still has a few people too). I haven't heard of any Goldman ER in SF, just bankers. Several of the offices are tiny though. MS has like maybe 5 people and Barclays is 2-4 or something like that.

I think BofA has a few interns each year so ask around campus (your Asset Management club). Otherwise look for openings on different sites and network on linkedin. Never know when people will need people.
