I’ve seen many of our covering analysts (we’re very well known in biotech) exit to small cap/mid cap CFO roles
Most lucrative would be a pre-IPO (but nearing IPO) company's CFO. Otherwise, head of IR at Fortune 100, some become senior investment banker (they been pumping deals anyways might as well get paid for it), there are other nonconventional exits.
