Depends on the Analyst. They have some really top guys. Dan Ives for tech and Micahel Pachter for gaming and media. I have seen some people joke about the firm though. 

 

it has the reputation of being an average mid-market/ boutique shop because that's what it is.  Nobody is going to respect/ disrespect you for going there - it's very average.  It will have name recognition if you're in the industry, but if you're having a conversation with anyone not on the Street, get ready for "Wedbush is a mid-market/ boutique shop...".  Comp is below average.  as Matt said, depends on the analyst.. Patcher is a top analyst.  Ives is regularly on every news channel, but his research product is lackluster...  But if you can land a spot there to get your foot in the door and then hop around to a bigger shop, then it could be a solid landing spot.  

 

dan ives committed revenue fraud when he was an IR exec & lives to pump stocks - just poor ethics generally
