Which Internship to Choose for FT ER?

I have a junior year offer from a large end well known Investment Bank's Operations Division and from a not so well known Asset Management firm (15B+ AUM). My goal is to re-recruit for a BB ER role. Which should I take?

Edit: The AM place does not offer FT opportunities

Sounds like a great opportunity to get exposure to the finance spectrum. The hard part is making sure that you get resume building experience besides just observing others. If you are confident in your ability to network, learn, and be proactive in helping the team then this will be a good start to take into FT recruiting.

I'm leaning towards the AM oppty...getting broad-based exposure is a good thing and certainly wouldn't ruin your chances at ER.

Word of advise though...don't be just "dead-set" on a BB ER group. Make sure you have lots of shots on goal, so that end of the day, you have the choice to pick where you want to go and also increases your chances of landing an ER job, period.

Remember, once you are able to secure an ER spot, you can move around/lateral to different firms much easier than if you didn't work in ER at all. This is coming from experience.

Good luck!
