Wolfe Research Technical Analysis Team?

Was curious if anyone knew anything about this. It looks like Wolfe has a team of dudes dedicated to basically analyzing only the movements of price charts and looking at indicators rather than normal fundamental analysis. No clue if this is common in ER but I thought it was interesting. Would love to hear some insight if anyone knows what they actually do.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, there isn't specific information about Wolfe Research's Technical Analysis Team in the provided context. However, technical analysis in general involves studying price charts, indicators, and patterns to make trading or investment decisions. This approach contrasts with fundamental analysis, which focuses on a company's financials, industry position, and macroeconomic factors.

In equity research (ER), technical analysis teams are less common compared to fundamental analysis teams, as ER traditionally emphasizes deep dives into company fundamentals. However, some firms or teams may incorporate technical analysis to complement their strategies, especially for identifying entry and exit points or understanding market sentiment.

If you're curious about Wolfe Research's specific practices, it might be worth exploring their reports or reaching out to someone familiar with their operations.
