Loafers to an interview is too casual. General rule. Also, $50 shoes on Amazon are a bad buy. I have a few pairs of Allen Edmonds I got during their sales, and they are much higher quality, and likely to last a lot longer.

No. If you get dinged because you're wearing brown shoes, thank your lucky stars you aren't working at a place where people have a 10 ft rod up their ass

Absolutely. You will not make it past the reception desk and be forced to intern at firms like JT Marlin

If you're gonna wear navy and light grey I would recommend you get yourself a nice pair of English goodyear welted shoes. These will literally last you at least a decade and still look pretty much brand new (depending on how well you treat them obviously).

I love brown suede shoes, but for an office setting I would always go with black.

I would suggest, if you really want to go all out, you get either natural (no colour) leather shoes or ones from which you can work, and over several weeks work a pattina into them (using two or three separate but related colours).

This is a good inspiration to go with a navy suit: http://www.chaussure-hommes.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/berluti.png

This is better for casual occasions: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_WT1oVCnXpLo/SliBZvCM2QI/AAAAAAAAAMU/zbJSuK9I2…

I strongly recommend Saphir shine for this kind of fun stuff.
