Dress Shoes for Rain?

Anyone have recommendations for dress shoes that can be worn in heavy rain? Currently wearing AE Park Avenues every day, but worried about the leather soles as it's going to start raining heavily where I live in the coming months. The concrete is also very rough and the terrain can be quite hilly, so not ideal to wear AEs daily.

Thinking about buying cheaper dress shoes with rubber soles, but are there any alternatives to this?

If you must wear the dress shoes every day while commuting (what it sounds like) - buy galoshes. They aren't perfect, but will protect from major damage.

Ideally bring them with you if at all possible - wear sneakers, or something else.

If you want to be looked at as serious, swap into your dress shoes when you get in, If you're like me (IDGAF) then Cole Haan's ZeroGrands are awesome. I got compliments from the head of my quarter trillion AUM department for wearing them in Chicago in January when it was snowing out. (Truthfully, they were the only dress shoes I packed that week)

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.

Get a pair with rubber soles. Rain and leather soles - not a great combo. Harzardous for both the shoes and you... You weren’t very specific but if I understood you right you are wearing the same shoes every day which is not exactly advisable. Leather shoes need to rest so I’d recommend getting a second pair of decent shoes potentially with rubber soles. If it rains Uber :)
