Not a brand-specific recommendation, but unless your office is suit and tie every day, I'd consider a car coat or polo coat because they're easier to dress down / wear on weekend with jeans than a chesterfield.

Suitsupply has some pretty great and high-quality "dressy" outerwear selections. With a well-tailored suit & shirt underneath, your options for outerwear are pretty broad, but I'd suggest picking based on your build. If you're taller and leaner or lanky, go for a 3/4 length overcoat (single or double-breasted totally fine). If you're shorter and stockier, trucker jackets and peacoats sitting around your belt line will be your best bet. Down jackets will be good on just about anyone. I'd also highly encourage picking up a few matching and contrasting scarves; well-fashioned scarves can really elevate a look and make your outerwear pop. For more mild fall days, I also personally think leather jackets can look great over a suit/formal wear if it's in line with the rest of your personal style (moto and racer styles can both work). As always, whatever you go with for outerwear, get it tailored.
