Subtle Patterns
Question about suits and shirts for interviews. I know solids are the way to go, but are subtle patterns/textures acceptable? For instance, a suit that has a ribbed texture to it like this:

or a shirt like this

My feeling is no, these would stick out too much, but I just wanted to get some opinions.
Also please avoid the temptation to inform me that Men's Warehouse is not the best place to buy my clothes.
Men's Warehouse is the best place to buy your clothes.
I would say the suit itself is fine (NOT the shirt that the model is wearing)
as far as the dress shirt.. I would stay away from the textured and just get a plan white shirt
The patterns are subtle enough that you can't really tell. At least in that picture.
$600 + tax for a Hilfiger suit? You can do better for that price range. Brooks Brothers had a suit sale recently for about that price range, not sure if it's still running. Also depends on where you are located. If you are in NYC or LA, you have some options.

I have a few of these Abboud shirts.
With the solid ones, the texture is so subtle, no one would ever notice.
Go for it.
