Where do yall get your jeans

No this isn't a "what jeans do ibankers wear" post... I'm just wondering where do you guys get your jeans
I used to wear express slim jeans and some levis but I was wondering what are your favorite brands of jeans that are decently priced, slim fit, straight cut, black, grey and dark navy

Express= shit and Levi's= good start. Levi's denim is analogous to Citi and financial products - endless choices. If you are junior (sounds like it) go grab some traditional mall jeans at J.Crew, Guess or Diesel. They have some good styles. Start off with dark navy denim to wear button downs with and snag some light washed for a dark shirt or some black jeans for in da club. Plan on spending $100 for jeans you won't want to throw away after 6 mos. Please no True Religion, Ed Hardy or Rock&Republic unless you live at Seaside Heights. Also, ask/bring your sister or GF or that cute female analyst in the other cube so they can offer advice. Hope this helps.

Yo, funny story.

Ok, I was dating a girl in Pittsburgh and we went to the True Religion store so crack head could get his fix. She has a weird style and didn't understand my love for the obnoxious. Well needless to say I bought some ridiculous jeans that day much to her dismay. The relationship did not last much longer. I loved the jeans way more than here hahah.

Side note, I absolutely love the details on true religion jeans. I used to be a Guess Premium snob simply because of the copper buttons, weathered denim, great fit and wonderful sticking. TR's trump them in every way. American made, thick stitching, great denim, love the buttons and back pocket flaps. Great jeans.

Think that for a guy, it's important to have one staple pair of jeans that fit you well and doesn't make you look like you're wearing your dad's bottoms. You might have to pay a little more, but save up and as long as your sizing is relatively stable, you won't regret it.

For more upscale choices, APC do great raw jeans and Earnest Sewn are probably my favorite washed brand. Finally, raw japanese Dior Homme's are the Rolls-Royce of jeans and don't look douchey.

ambition56 - honestly, if you like the slimmer fit try Diesel, they have quality Italian denim and many slim styles. They are on the more edgy side of things, however. Or H&M, Zara, etc. without spending as much dough.

Don't waste your money on the jeans that are over-distressed and with overly embellished pockets. Stick with a simple design and they won't be out of style next season. APC or Levis raw denim is the way to go. The summer is usually too hot for raw denim so get yourself a few proper fitting chinos for to hold you over to the fall.

I just picked up a pair of Guess jeans for like $40 on sale at Macy's the other day. They wouldn't have been my first choice, but after trying on about 20 different pairs, they fit really well and look to be decent quality, especially for the price. I have a big lower body so I couldn't fit in a pair of skinny, or slim, fit jeans if my life depended on it. In fact, I usually have to get a couple sizes bigger just to get shit to fit in...hence trying on the 20 different pair of jeans.

A.P.C. is the way to go. I have a pair of raw selvage navy blue denim, bought them in February, have yet to wash them and the fading is awesome, it's custom to your body (leg) type. I spent $150 on them; i used to buy stuff from gap before, never going back, quality and craftsmanship is worth the price. Don't think of it as spending too much on casual clothing, you can keep them as dressy jeans and they will last longer than anything else you've bought in the past. Other names ppl have mentioned on here are legit

Dude you were right, you are going to get flamed. First off, you come across exceptionally pretentious. Second you proved it by using a self made acronym...which you then had to define for everyone...which I find laughable. Third, I highly doubt that you did much on your own to become RBB, so it's sad that you would even mention other people's accomplishments as if it is some of reflection on who you really are.

Truthfully, I don't care if your pretentious or not (it doesn't bother me in the slightest) but what I find annoying are the people that are but pretend, or say, that they aren't. Dressing nicely doesn't only imply couture clothing or designer labels. I know a guy that is particularly pretentious but who thinks he's not. This is the same guy who says he prefers walk to, or park far away from, a restaurant when he is meeting a girl for the first date because he doesn't want her to know that he drives a Porsche (but probably sets his key on the table at dinner) but won't order generic floor mats for his car because they won't say "Porsche" on them.

Anyways, to each their own. I just know that when I fuck a girl and she cums it's probably not because she's fantasizing about the Levi's label she saw on my jeans when she was eye level to my cock and peeling them off.

I mostly buy Levis without a second thought. It's a brand I know and for the most part the styles fit well right off the rack. The 505's... just a tad too long in the legs, need to hem them about an inch.

But I see guys saying they can't stomach to spend more than 100 bucks I jeans. I can't stomach to spend more than 45 since to me the quality and look are pretty much the same. Every pair of jeans that I wear to work I also wear in my off work time. They get dirty, sweaty, they stretch, shrink, fade. I'll play football in them on Sunday, wash them Sunday night, and I'm wearing them to work Monday morning. To ask me to spend more than 45 on something that's going to get beat up.... I don't know about you but something just doesn't sound right, or doesn't sound worth it, about that deal.

I don't wear jeans anymore. Even when I wear them supper low, I can't find any big enough in the inseam and I don't want to spend the money for custom pants.

I like my Gap jeans; they're ultimately comfortable and caters to someone who is not skinny.

I also have a local raw denim bought from a friend from 2 years ago. Raw denim is cool because it gets better with age.

You should try out Paige brand jeans. I just went to Nordstrom today in La Jolla and they had a pair of the slim fit federal jeans in cellar color and I got them for 138 when they are priced at 200. Feel as soft as sweat pants and look as good as a jean can get. I got them to wear to the office when no clients are in.

Levi's is the only brand I use for jeans, They have many variations from the skinny jeans which I think is improper to use in the office to straight cuts which is a Levi's classic.

Nice Jeans that don't look Gay/Ghetto for under $120 (Originally Posted: 09/28/2011)

Any suggestions? are the $90-100 jeans at JCrew/Banana Republic worth the price?

I went to Nordstrom today. Everything looked gay/ghetto. Why?

Also, what kind of shoes should I wear with my new jeans? I'm sick of looking like Larry David.

RRL denim. totally worth it.

Department stores tend to include them in their sales. If you buy them direct you are paying for the insane overhead of that store.

Or just get Levis (514s).

RRL is surprisingly cheap at Saks after Christmas. The sticker is so high because they have to pay for those crazy premium, low volume retail stores.

I also like Lucky, but that is a fit / comfort thing. Levis are fine if you want to keep it simple.

Get a pair of black or walnut calfskin loafers. With or without embellishment (horsebit, monk strap) depending on how fashion forward you are.

Personally, I'm a fan of Diesel jeans. You can usually find some cleaner looking designs (ex. Larkee) which still have some pizzazz.

I like the Krooley and Larkee Jeans by Diesel

Seconded on the RRL. You'll go beyond your price point but be happy for it. Or, APC New Standards. If you like none of these options, check out the 'streetwear and denim' section of Styleforum, but be careful, the guys on that half of the site are pretty douchey.

I also say go for RRL. Retail is pretty pricey, but if you have a polo outlet near I would say check them out. I got two pairs of RRL jeans for 40 a pop...
