With these numbers I wonder who’s up besides the MM platforms. I just saw Michael Platts family office numbers....it’s crazy to see every year.
i think its become very clear that the multi manager setup gives higher and more stable returns than single manager. the least underperforming tiger cub is viking, which is the most MM-like of the cubs
This is a poor take - it’s equity HFs that have done poorly not necessarily SMs as a whole. Some Macro SMs have posted 3 figure returns for the year. That being said MMs are multi-strat so are diversified from just an equity strategy
Now add single managers in LS equity….
Anyone know Matrix, Alkeon, Altimeter, Dragoneer, X1, Light Street, Whale Rock?
I would gander it is safe to say -30 at the minimum for all of these
