32 years old with bachelors degree, small biz owner, wanting career change into Hedge Fund. Is it possible?

I'm 32 years old and am a small business owner in ag. The last several years I have been trading my own book, I have paid for courses from ITPM and use Hedgeye for a macro guide. I have been successfully trading my own book for ~3 years and find myself wanting to spend all my time researching/trading/studying financial markets. I have considered B school, however I feel to old and that I would be wasting more time than if I could just get my foot in the door now via an internship. My hang up has been financially I do well and am afraid of going backwards for a period of time. I don't fully know the ins and outs of HFs but understand their can be significant upside. I have had to wear many "hats" and feel my experience would make me unique. Am I out of touch with reality here or could I actually apply for an internship and go that route?
