Are some years tougher than others?
I’m new to the HF world with only 2-3 years exp (IB, PE before). Last year seemed like a piece of cake compared to this year to make money. What’s your experience? Are there years which are just more challenging for you and the street? Do you prefer volatility or not?

Yeah of course. Unless you're incredibly lucky or a genius, you'll have some years that are more difficult than others. You need to learn how to handle those tough times in order to be successful in the long run.
