Balyasny just announced this brand-new program, would love to hear initial thoughts. It's supposed to be more "hands-on" than the other buyside programs, but the description basically just matches CAP and sorta P72 Academy.

Internship with PM, then 9 mo program and 2 rotations at end. Interesting but also similar to others. Probably not as rigorous as p72. Wonder when they are starting?
First class will be the current sophomore class, so summer 2027.
Kinda seems like it was built out of the logic from Baly’s old sub unit that hired college grads as associates for the larger structure.
Another large MM seems to be building out a similar thing since the head of that unit has shifted and is building out a similar platform to what they had at Baly, on top of the already existing graduate program for L/S.

How would people stack this up vs the other grad schemes? Obviously new so probably docked there, but benefits of small class size and seeming firm momentum? Super quick to desk as well.

What are you talking about.. if you are set on HF, would take unless top IB. It's basically their Bridger program (9 months-> placement on pod), which skips IB/ER. Obviously, less optionality, but its not "new" by any measure and solid IMO

met with them opportunistically when the class was full. call with BD, case study, case study debrief if your case is good, round with associate which is 95% grilling on a pitch, final round with PM
