Bluecrest insane 2025 returns and L10Y track record (Medallion-like)

Any thoughts on Michael Platt's fund performance? Consistently insane. What could explain this? How much AuM? Strategy? Any comments are highly appreciated

"These returns are misleading. These are returns on *cash invested*, not on the return of the fund. Because they are a family office, they don't have to report returns to investors the way most hedge funds do. My guess is that they're achieving somewhere between 20-30% annualized returns on capital (my good friend worked there and he agrees) - which is still extremely impressive of course. Just wanted to make sure people understood that these are overstated returns."

these figures are almost guaranteed to be % on cash invested…remember this is the type of ego to brag about his returns to his cab driver. maybe my RV/macro counterparts can chime in more definitely, but from offhand convos, cash usage for their type of strategy is most likely somewhere between 10-25%…so divide their returns in any given year by 4-10x.
