Breaking into HF out of Undergrad

Hi,

I’m a junior studying at an Ivy, going to a BB bank this summer. However I have always had an interest for HF. Where do I start if I want to re-recruit and be at a HF FT? Any programs to look out for, would love any advice. Thanks!

Learn how to pitch a stock and have a few prepared. Millennium/citadel/P72 all recruit full-time. I interned at a BB and then did FT at one of these, will say that the process started during my internship so I had to make time for it.

Thoughts on the market, good businesses, stock pitches etc are a given.

mental maths, EV games (dice games/probability brainteasers) can be asked too, depending on which firm you're applying to.

Also there will be a case study for each too.

Thanks for your response.  How much does networking matter prior to applying to those places? Furthermore is there any external factors to keep in mind before applying? like gpa that i should target to get, # of ppls to talk to, certain experience to have in resume, etc. (I feel like I tend to do well when I get the interview but I feel like the hardest part for me, esp when recruiting for my BB, was getting the interview. And then usually I was able to perform well in the interview process.) Honestly if you wouldn't mind, can i pm you?

Networking doesn't do anything ime, there's an emphasis on preserving meritocracy.

No clue on GPA, I had about a 3.7 when I applied to the summer and grad schemes.

HF interviews are quite different to IB, with less of a focus on technicals/behaviourals and more on discussions on the market, stocks, businesses etc.
