Buyside macro analyst interview questions

Have an interview in two days for a macro analyst position. Focus on rates and FX.

I'm confident in my overall knowledge of economics, BoP etc. Could anyone who's been in a similar position outline the kind of questions I should expect so I can focus my study?

I'll take a crack at this

Obviously know market data (curves/levels) and have a read of the environment. Be ready to answer questions like "what will happen to rates if mortgages undergo a heavy default wave"?

Have a view and some trades ideas ready. I expect you to get grilled on this. Don't just fucking use technical analysis to say trade a currency pair

If the macro fund has a more academic feel (phds in econ or ex-CB research guys), then you might need to know more textbook stuff
