Can I rock a beard in the HF world?

Ignore my Title. I'm finally done my IB stint and headed to a HF pretty soon. Always played it pretty safe and went clean shaved(legit had to shave every other day not kidding). Now that I'm going to a HF and the role isn't client-facing, is it ok to rock a beard? Other folks in the HF space, what has your guys' experience been?

Based on the most helpful WSO content, the acceptability of facial hair in finance, including hedge funds (HFs), often depends on the firm's culture and your role. Since you're transitioning from investment banking to a hedge fund and your role isn't client-facing, the environment is likely to be more relaxed compared to IB. Hedge funds generally have a more casual culture, especially for non-client-facing roles, so maintaining a well-groomed beard should be acceptable.

However, it's always a good idea to observe the grooming norms at your specific firm. If you're unsure, you can start clean-shaven and gauge the environment before growing a beard. Keeping it neat and professional is key to ensuring it aligns with workplace expectations.

As long as it's clean I think you'll be ok. Your legs on the other hand better be nice and soft.
