Chicago/NYC mid-sized SM Event-driven
Anyone have a list of smaller (1-5BN) SM shops in NYC/CHI? Interested in value-tilted L/S or cross-cap-stack, have 2 YOE on buy-side HY/stressed out of ug (ignore title) but looking to go more boutique.

The more picky you get about what fund to go with, the harder it gets. You are setting 3-4 restrictions and I don't think you realize how much you're hurting your chances for no real benefit.
What does "value" even mean. Do you think there are funds out there that go "no, we focus on overpaying for our longs"?
OP here (not clown159). my experience & interests are more aligned with stressed/underloved businesses (industrials, consumer, etc), trying to avoid funds with heavy mega-cap TMT exposure.
