Citadel vs BlackRock summer internship
I am trying to choose between a Software Engineering intern position at Citadel and a research position at BlackRock. My interest is in machine learning and BlackRock is for sure going to give me some projects that align with my interest. I also really enjoyed my conversation with BlackRock interviewers. However Citadel seems to have a better reputation. The pay is also better. But they are not sure which group I will be assigned in.
If my main goal is to gain experience and develop technical skills(both in finance and programming), and eventually get into quant research, which company would be a better choice?
Bump.
Another thing is that I feel like I can make a lot more impact at BlackRock. The team offered me to suggest potential project that I want to work on. Whereas at Citadel everything seems a little rigid and company is not as flat as BlackRock.
Can you elaborate on the blockrock internship's job description?
I will be working with BlackRock's credit research, mainly focusing on data related to fixed income. Whereas at Citadel my offer is a general Software Engineering Internship.
