Current Differences Between Tiger Cubs (Coatue, Lone Pine, Tiger Global) - Culture, Investment Style, Etc.

Given the lack of transparency / widespread info on the current state of some of the major Tiger cubs, I was hoping to better understand common perceptions of the following: internal culture, turnover, investment focus (time horizon, flexibility, etc), as they relate to firms like Coatue vs Tiger Global vs Lone Pine, etc.

It would be helpful to better understand what the investment professional experience is actually like inside these places given that they all have Tiger heritage and tend to be tech-focused, and how each one may be slightly different than the other. Does anyone have any firsthand / secondhand input?

Agree with the above in the sense that they will often trade around their positions based on near-term events, earnings, etc. That said, core positions can be held for years at a time. I've heard specifically that Coatue can be a tough place to work, and the founder is very demanding.

I work at one. Unless you actually have opportunities to work at more than one, I would say this question is irrelevant. You should just work where you get the offer and take the offer when you get it. This is especially true in this environment, since most of these funds are shutting down. There's really no "culture" nor should you think about that ... it just matters who you work for and whether you like that person. The coatue thing is true - I've heard it consistently that they work very hard. Their fund does really well though, so I mean who cares - you should feel lucky to get an interview there let alone get a job.
