It’s been a week and i haven’t heard back yet. Does this mean I’m dinged? Should I reach out asking for an update/feedback from PMs?

Based on the most helpful WSO content, not hearing back after a week doesn't necessarily mean you're out of the running. Delays in feedback can happen for various reasons, such as internal scheduling conflicts, additional candidate evaluations, or decision-making processes taking longer than expected.
Here’s what you can do: 1. Wait a bit longer: If it’s only been a week, it might be worth waiting a few more days before reaching out. Some firms take 1-2 weeks to provide updates. 2. Follow up professionally: If you haven’t heard back after 10-14 days, it’s reasonable to send a polite follow-up email. Address it to the recruiter or the person who coordinated your interview, and express your continued interest in the role. Avoid directly asking for feedback from PMs unless you’ve been explicitly encouraged to do so.
Example follow-up email: > Subject: Follow-Up on Interview Process
> Dear [Recruiter/Interviewer’s Name],
> I hope this email finds you well. I wanted to follow up regarding my recent interview for the [Position Name] role at [Fund Name]. I remain very interested in the opportunity and would appreciate any updates on the process when convenient.
> Thank you for your time and consideration. Please let me know if there’s anything further you need from me.
> Best regards,
> [Your Name]
This approach keeps the tone professional and shows your enthusiasm without being overly pushy.

They kinda talk to everyone to get their intel, doesn't mean they actually have seats right now.
What is the discussion like and what kind of questions do they ask?
Seconded.
