Flow Traders vs BB to get to prop shops/hedge funds

Hi, I'm in the process for an internship at Flow Traders, with my end goal being working in the HF or Market Making industry, preferably on options based on what I currently know. I was wondering what the consensus on FT was ? I have read that because they hedge almost everything, traders are not really taking any risks and that might be detrimental for moves to other prop shops. I'm only a student so I don't know that much about the industry aside from what I've read on forums. I just finished my first year of masters but it's quite common where I am to take a gap year between 1st and 2nd year to complete several internships. Basically my question is this (big hypotheticals) : if I manage to get the internship at FT and the return offer, I would return as an NG in 2026. If i managed to get an internship at a BB like JPM, GS etc, i would need to take a gap year and graduate in 2027. What would be best to achieve my goals (say firms like Optiver, IMC...) ? I know all of these are HEAVY hypotheticals but it's just to get a sense of what I should pursue in the coming years. Also, does FT do non competes ? Thank you
