GPA - How long does it matter?
How long does GPA matter in finance, asset management, or in the HF world? Does uni GPA still matter after your first job? After your second job out of school? At one point does it not matter at all if ever?

After your first job (2-3 yrs) it becomes less relevant, speaking from experience. People become more focused on your experience, references, where you have worked, etc than what your grades were. That being said ppl will still ask. I had an average GPA coming out of college, and that has not prevented me from being a top candidate and get opportunities presented to me. But some places really place an emphasis on GPA and SAT scores at the very beginning of the process. Once you get past that, it becomes much more a fit/competence question.
Surprisingly, they still care about mine couple years after
Honestly that's a shame. I get why they matter for your first job but too much emphasis on grades after that is nonsense
when is it acceptable to start leaving off without raising eyebrows?
Matters a great deal for top MBA admissions which is most likely 3-6 yrs after UG.
