Help Contacting Hedge Fund about Internship

There is a large hedge fund with a stake in a company that I hold in my PA, and I would like to approach them about an unpaid internship, both because I am interested in the space (ie: distress, special ops, event driven) and because I would love to get some insight into the particular company. Additionally, I have some work experience at hedge funds (1+ year including internships) and have covered distress, special ops, event driven type stuff, so my experience is fairly in-line with what the fund does. I have done a fair amount of research on the position, and can speak about and defend my thesis comfortably.

If anyone can offer some advice as to how I should approach the fund about discussing the investment thesis and how to procure an internship, I would greatly appreciate it.
