HF Career in UK
Hello,
I am considering masters degrees now.
Please, list all the schools in UK and continental which would be good for a career in HF in UK.
My list now:
Oxbridge, Lse ,lbs , warwick, ucl, icl
Bocconi , hec, essec, escp, st gallen, insead.
what are your opinions on these schools?
RSM EDHEC SSE WHU CBS.
Thank u!
there isn’t really a degree that is “good for a hedge fund career”
Most of the graduate programs hire from a wide range of degrees (albeit I generally see Oxbridge, LSE, UCL and Imperial)
Ok thx very much! What about warwick??
Should I aim then for a degree in econ as much as for a finance one? stem isn't realistic I'm too bad at maths
You might struggle to get a HF role if you’re bad at maths….
I would stick to the obvious ones (Oxbridge, LSE, UCL, LBS, Warwick), however I have seen first hand someone land a HF role doing Economics in a Russell Group Uni - University of Nottingham
wow ok, so everything is possible..
Leave the UK for the US if you want to work at a HF. You’ll thank me later
wow can u elaborate please?
what abt hong kong also?
If you’re location agnostic and business fluent (ideally native) in some major Asian languages, HK is not a bad place
Oxford Brooks obviously.
satire?
