If you could work from anywhere in the world, but had to work NY market hours?

The COVID-19 pandemic is creating incredible opportunities for those fortunate enough. My fund recently started letting people work globally. Where would you go? Outside the US for argument's sake.

From someone who has lived in Miami their whole life until moving to NY for FT, this is an awful suggestion imo. Weather is not great, the humidity/heat will really get to you over time and the party scene gets very old. The people in Miami are super materialistic and there definitely isn’t a diversity of backgrounds and circles relative to other big cities.

Anywhere as long as it’s not for too long. Would ideally split seasons between London, Paris, Tokyo, and Boston. Holiday vacations to Shanghai, Barcelona, NYC, maybe Warsaw...

Man this is something i've thought a lot about. I feel like a ton of people would rather get the flexibility of working remotely from anywhere in the world than getting a pay raise. At least I would.

Imagine being able to just travel the world on a NY salary living off of short term rentals (1-3 months). Damn.

To answer your question, Puerto Rico for a while. Working from the beach, similar time zone, US territory.
