Internship interview with PM
Hi monkeys,
I have an interview with a PM coming up for a summer internship at an MM fund's (P72 / Millenium / Citadel) London office for their L/S equity team. Haven't done many HF interviews before, so would be great to know what I can expect and how best to prep. Thanks!
Hi Prospect in IB - Gen, any of these discussions helpful:

You're welcome.
Bump
Do all the prep you’d do for IB, but also have 3-4 stock pitches ready (at least one short).
Have a view on the market, and be up to date with relevant market news.
I agree. I ask more about news stories. Pick two stories going on in markets and explain them to me.
could be rates, FTX, china Covid zero policy, or something else.
100% agree.
The interview for my current seat was 1.5 hrs.
1/3rd of it was a discussion / debate on where I thought the market was going over the next year.
1/3rd of it was 2 stock pitches (both Long as I'm at a long-only)
1/3rd of it was investment fit / technicals
Oftentimes an employer just wants to see passion, they can teach the finer aspects.
Have a summer offer for one of those funds in London; wasn't asked for a pitch or any technicals but was definitely asked about business theory and a soft "pitch" although i wasn't asked to do a stock, just a business.
Lol I think we're talking about the same fund mine was pretty similar. What's the process like after the PM interview? It seemed to go well
