Is this a fair offer for a 2nd year?

I just began my second year as an analyst in MF PE, so I'm one year out of college.

I got an offer from a L/S SM in NYC for $300k all-in. The fund has $3B AUM and 6 investment professionals. But my comp next year in my current role would be ~$260k anyway so not much of a raise.

Is this a fair HF offer for my level? Other threads I found relate to 2+2 candidates but not 1 year buyside

Fair. You have low YOE. Bear in mind you got an offer from a scarce seat, and your comp should steadily increase over time.

300k is standard for your YoE. Depending on fund type and how long it has been around it varies. Those related to Tiger cub tend to pay less vs. Citadel related and also the newer launches comp much less than older ones.

Yeah fair. Would also ask about training and what future economics might look like. Your development into a risk-taking IP will tip the scale far more than comp during first few years.
