Minneapolis distressed funds
Anyone know much about the Minneapolis based distressed / credit funds? Are they more old-school distressed or have they adapted?
Seems like there is a huge market there (Whitebox, Carval, Castlelake, Varde, Merced, Pine River, Wayzata (guess they are shutting down)). Any idea who does recruiting for them?
Associate 3 in PE - Other, pure crickets, that's where I come in. Any of these useful?
More suggestions...
Hope that helps.
There are probably a few more that you have not mentioned above although they are focused on the lower MM and MMdistressed opportunities. All of the distressed funds there are spun out of Cargill/CarVal and mostly recruit through HHs (SG, DSP), GoBuyside, or post openings on LinkedIn
Got it - do you know specifically who recruits for Whitebox?
