MM to SM

Would an analyst transferring from a multi-manager pod shop like P72, Citadel, or MLP to single-manager funds such as the tiger cubs even be considered? Or is MFPE almost like a prerequisite to working at a tiger cub? Does the quarter-to-quarter EPS style of pod shops have any applicability to these SM funds?

Thanks
