New to the site and 16 years old

So yes i am new to this site. But no.... i have been researching hedge funds, investing, stocks and reading on economics for about 2 weeks now. I feel inspired by this domain because of the sheer competition and immensity of this craft as i call it, the idea of the rush it can give if you nail a good deal and pull through with a business you start and climb the latter. I have a dream... i currently live in Vancouver, Canada my goal rest on Wall St. My goal is to break the barrier and this illusion people have about Wall st and that the IB's only can invite you to work for them, that they are only family run businesses and outsiders have no chance. Work and time needed, doesnt bother me i will do whatever it takes to get to my goal, because as my name suggests i believe in the hustle i am passioned about what i have learned so far. Investing, stocks and the freedom of hedge funds all sound very attractive. I recently made a choice... i threw my playstation away and said to myself i will never go back to that life again ( average ) . I want to be different from the rest and leave something behind me and build an empire. I have a goal to raise 15,000-20,000$ to start my hedge fund which i want to have in the next 3-5 years, which i want to achieve through working and stocks ( risky yes i know ). I made a promise to my grandpa ( very hard working man ) that i would build a company or firm and build myself up to the top. i want to live up to that. I will be posting my progress of this great hunt. any suggestions are greatly appreciated, i am prepared to receive constructive criticism. and yes i will be going to university.... i do not come from a privileged family and i don't go to a private school.

  1. Read, Read, & Read (Books, News, and etc.) and then PRACTICE it
  2. Find your investment philosophy, such as value investing
  3. learn financial modeling (its the paradigm)
  4. Go to SFU or UBC and join the endowment fund team (if you can't, that's fine to)
  5. Network
  6. Most importantly, have a real passion

By the way, nothing wrong with gaming (including sports) as long as you keep your limits.
