Performance metrics for analysts

Hey everyone,

I'm currently an analyst at a young mutual fund (biotech/long only/equities if relevant), and there is not much structure around how to assess performance from analysts towards our portfolio manager. At the moment it's too emotional in my opinion and I would like that to be a bit more data driven.
Just wanted to get some insights into what are the metrics that you are evaluated on in your daily activities as an analyst? How does the PM keep track of your performance if you don't have a book? And if you are a PM, what do you keep track of?

Do you guys keep track of every recommendation you make to PM and assess further down the road if it was in deed correct? Any quantitative/qualitative metrics I should look into?

Curious to any feedback.

Thanks!
