Point72 2020 Academy Summit - New York
While the Point72 2020 Academy Summit (New York) will be moved to a virtual format, it would be great to hear the experiences of those who previously attended the event in recent years. Any and all information is welcome, particularly in regard to priority/accelerated recruitment for the Point72 Academy internship program. Thank you in advance.
Bump, anyone have any information on the accelerated recruiting timeline for those who participated?
I attended the summit last year and received an offer for the internship.
My experience at the event was very positive. The venue was nice and the recruiters spent a lot of time putting it together. The speakers were all very interesting and I learned a lot from the day. With the online format, the experience wil obviously be quite different so it's hard to speak to that.
Speaking to the accelerated recruiting timeline, the recruiters will put you in buckets based on priority amongst the attendees of the various summits. In my experience, I was given a superday in the first week of May (which I believe was the first superday) and received an offer the next business day. Some of the other summit attendees were given interviews throughout May, June and July. I had one friend who didn't receive a super day at all.

thanks for the insight! what do you mean by priority? based on how much they like you or on your timeline of competing/exploding offers?
I think it's a mix. I had a couple superdays coming up and told the recruiters which definitely pushed up my interview date.
