Portfolio Specialist at FoHF vs Business Development Associate at HF

Hello,

I would like to have your opinions on the topic above. I've spent 3 years in IBD and my ultimate goal is to be a product manager.

Currently I have two offers in my hand, a portfolio specialist role at FoHF and associate role at HF. I know a lot of people here have negative opinions on the future of FoHF but are there any advantages of choosing FoHF considering my goal?

Thank you!

.

Hey I know you are here for your own question, but could you help me. I have an internship offer for a front office role at a FoHF. I keep hearing you learn no real transferable skills? Is it not a good internship if you are considering things like corporate finance as a career?

If you are interested in corporate finance field, then I think you should choose IBD (M&A team rather than ECM/DCM team) or consulting firms (strategic rather than accounting/IT).....definitely not FoHF. Still, you can learn what drives the current market, impact on each asset class and reaction of money managers. Nothing to do with corporate finance but might be useful if you are interested in investment side. Sorry I could not be of more help...
