Tips for finding capital raising jobs
I currently work in the IR/capital raising group at a small PE shop (~2bn AUM). I initially started my career in corporate banking for a large American bank, and I've gotten very good in my current role which is primarily focused on raising capital for our funds and acquisitions after making this career switch. As I'm sure many of you know, it's a tough environment today, but I want to explore other jobs in this field. I've read some impressive stories/posts from other guys raising for HFs and PE. I know the traditional analyst/associate recruiting grind in banking very well from my younger days, but since this is a little more niche I'm looking for some tips and guidance on networking and finding these types of roles. Do you guys have any insights?
