Two Sigma QR or HRT Algo Dev for internship?

HRT pays better, but I don't care much about the money at this point. I hooe I can have outsider perspectives on:

1. Which firm impresses girls more from the start? As an Asian male nerd with a bad face, you know I don't have much options and have to try harder in every aspects.

2. Which firm has a better reputation in Wall Street, China, and Singapore?

3. Which firm will help me transition to Private Equity or Venture Capital in the future?

To answer 1 & 3, neither. To be more specific about 1, you don't want any girl who is picking someone because of a 2S vs. HRT distinction. It would be a more efficient game to find a woman who more directly seeks a gainful companionship arrangement transactionally rather than one who leeches off of someone based on employer brand, if you catch my drift.

I first thought this was a troll post lol.

1. most girls really don't even know what 2sig or HRT does, possibly never heard of them. neither would help you date a girl just because of the title. But maybe the role name: algo developer might sould much sexier than quantitative researcher cuz most ppl heard of "algo" & "developer", but not 'quant' haha

2. idk

3. none.

Girl here. If we are really taking this question “seriously” then the answer is quant research (if u have a PhD) or quant dev (if u don’t). HRT more well known but everyone knows the specific pod ur in matters more than shop name

Bruh there's no way you're actually serious. The right girl won't give af what kind of fancy internship you have. If they do, you probably shouldn't be with them. And I recommend staying away from HRT. There's not a worse business for American society that makes money solely by actively trading high-frequency in the stock market. People complain about greed in IB, but HRT is that 10x.

HRT 100 times. That's the best of the best and being an algo there is literally THE role you want to be in.

Feel free to dm me if you need guidance with the other questions :)
