I had the same question. What I found was that a newly established hedge fund may not need to file immediately - the first filing is due 45 days after the end of the calendar year in which the $100 million threshold is first met. I guess we'll be able to check it out February 15.

the bank hires (across MMHFs) are the ones that have 90% churn at T+1 year. I'm not sure why BD still gives them the benefit of the doubt.

They probably have another 2-3 years tops.
there will be an ongoing washout in the new tier 2-3 pods. The pass through game works if you have a great platform and resource + risk + technology machine, which a lot of the newer pods don’t have built out or refined.
