So, I got a verbal offer for internship at one of the larger pod shops a while back. PM reached out 1.25 months ago to say he will let me know when official offer comes and do some readings in the meanwhile. No communications since then, and I am getting a little anxious.

Absolutely. These contracts at MMs are highly standardized and shouldn't take more than a day or two to draft, assuming there's no background checks in between.
You should absolutely demand certainty by now.
not all that strange for an internship, especially in non-us offices. Had to wait over a month for the MMHF i'm interning at to draft the actual letter
I would reach out, but be prepared to continue to be ghosted, told they are in a hiring freeze or they are passing on you for now.
Since this offer is for an internship, the offer isn’t time sensitive so maybe I’m being pessimistic.
But that’s a long time to go from offer incoming to not hearing a peep.
