lol that's cope man. SMHF are competitive to get into but they are amazing seats for long-term comp and have like a 10th of the volality of a MM. Choosing a MM is a mistake for 99% of the undergrads out there.

 

Based take. (a) go to MM and face obscene amounts of career volatility for limited exits or (b) just do IB --> PE --> SMHF, maintain optionality, build creds, and end up at a better seat.

At the end of the day, you can always join a MM out of IB or PE (not the hardest seat to get given churn, they take from run of the mill IB groups) whereas if you join a MM it's hard to go the other way around. Also, note, it's way easier to get a top SM seat out of PE than MM.
