Best book to read about Insurance industry

Not a book, but look up Marsh's website. They have this stuff on there which pertains to insurance/risk.
https://www.marsh.com/us/insights.html Click on industries and stuff, bottom right.
Or look up XL Group and PDF. There are plenty there.
Look at the top brokers (Aon, Willis, Lockton, etc.) and you can learn a lot from there blog posts.

Never have read any books or textbooks about it.

Insurance is large sector. Life insurance is miles apart from P&C. WSH and VRSK might have good mtls in their investor presentations.
