I don’t work in IB but I work for a BB (B of A, JPM, Citi, Goldman) in a middle office role. I have been working in the role for a little while now and have interactions with trading desks on a daily basis. Am I allowed to invest in index funds and equities? I know personal trading is pretty much off limits. For those of you that work in IB or sales and trading or in a MO/BO role how do you invest your money without getting flagged by compliance?
